| 1 | Go back on your left foot, putting all your weight on the foot | |
| 2 | Keep your feet where they are but transfer your weight to your right foot | |
| 3 | Replace the left foot where it came from and put your weight on it | |
| 4 | Pause or, optionally, tap with the right foot | |
| 5 | Go back on your right foot, putting all your weight on the foot. | |
| 6 | Keep your feet where they are but transfer your weight to your left foot | |
| 7 | Replace the right foot where it came from and put your weight on it | |
| 8 | Pause or, optionally, tap with the left foot |
Notes: Keep the steps small. Put your effort in the weight transfer from leg to leg, as it's this that gives you the Salsa hip motion.
