Pretty Simple Answer. The weakness of the dollar makes paying for US acts cheap at the moment and UK acts expensive to book in the US.

Also there are only 3 UK acts with sufficiently big reputation in the US and I believe one of those can't get a US work visa at the moment because of too many trips. Or doesn't need US work at moment as he's still booked for the whole year in a different country every weekend.
