Whatever gave you the idea that I was biased or dependent? Is it because I said I might not go to the event?
I certainly have some reservations. It's quite far up North. Do I have the energy to make that drive?
It's held in middle of nowhere so there won't much sightseeing opportunities.
Will enough people be willing to overcome concerns I have - and other things not on my mind?
Addressing other people's concerns (e.g. will it run on time?), I think making sure that a professional band start on time or moving around DJs from room to room on time is a lot simpler than organizing and making sure dozen or more showcase dances run on time, making tons of announcements in between acts, having performers of the evening introduced and have them clown around on the stage, and organizing "big surprises".
I have been to professional latin bands that really start on time (not even 1 minute late!!!) - including a recent La 33 concert. It was quite amusing to see some people being fashionably late so that they would miss half of the concert... or the whole concert for that matter.
