I happen to run across your website, by chance. I asked myself, a Salsa forum? For what? I've been into the Salsa scene since the 70s (I hope I'm not dating myself). I dance on 1, on 2, Cuban, Puerto Rican, New York Style, Columbian, etc. etc. Salsa dancing feeds my soul. I don't understand why everyone is trying to intellectualize the dance and music. Unless you're a musician, DJ, or dance instructor you don't need to. All you need to do is listen to the clave, dance and have fun! Hello! I don't understand the comparisons, competitions, and bashing that go on in these forums. It's nonsense! The only enlightenment that you need is the "clave". Listen to it, dance to it and enjoy. I equally enjoy dancing to Marc Anthony and Issac Delgado's music. Oops! Let's not start comparing who is better now...LOL!
